Hall’s Island and 26th Ave Bills need committee hearing this week
We’re on pins and needles waiting to hear – as of 3PM, Thursday, March 14 – whether bills circulating the Minnesota Legislature authorizing an exemption for Hall’s Island will be heard at Committee this week. If the bills get a hearing, then they will move forward this session; if they don’t, it’s the end of the line.
The Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board is overseeing the process. The bills were introduced and read on March 11, 2013, when they were referred to committee.
A House bill authorizing funding for 26th Avenue North was also referred to committee this week.
Our thanks to the representatives who authored the bills.
